DuraScan G5 hardness testers give the versatility needed to perform advanced testing automatically and increase turn-around time and repeatability. Designed for use in the lab and available in five different sizes, the DuraScan G5 enables the user to cover applications such as case hardness depth and welds. When working with a variety of applications, both a micro- and a macro indentation hardness tester is required. With DuraScan G5, just one hardness tester does the job!

Repeatability

Load cell technology ensures that the DuraScan G5 not only conforms to all standards but offers the highest possible degree of accuracy and repeatability throughout its entire load range.

Fast testing

DuraScan G5 lets you change test method and load immediately. The automatic turret and the ecos Workflow™ software mean full automation of the entire test cycle of loading, indenting, unloading, focusing and evaluation. A motorized stage can be used to run entire test series automatically, saving time and allowing the operator to attend to other tasks.

    Extended test load range

    The unique test load range from 0.002452 N to 612.9 N (0.25 gf to 62.5 kgf) enables the user to cover many applications that usually require a minimum of both a micro- and a macro indentation hardness tester. DuraScan covers a wide range of Brinell, Vickers and Knoop test methods and can automatically convert hardness values according to EN ISO 18265, DIN 50150 & ASTM E140.

    Unique loading system

    Load cell technology ensures the highest possible degree of accuracy and repeatability during load application, as the common over- and undershoot from dead weight systems is eliminated. The absence of mechanical weights not only eliminates friction problems but also makes the equipment less sensitive to misalignments caused by vibrations. Combined with a state-of-the-art measurement turret the entire measurement cycle of loading, indenting, unloading, focusing and evaluating is carried out extremely quickly. The result is a unique hardness testing system that also offers the highest possible degree of accuracy and repeatability throughout its entire load range.

    Unique autofocus technology

    The unique autofocus technology and high-quality optical system enable the user to perform fast autofocus and automatic hardness evaluation on even non-reflective surfaces, such as ceramics and etched or welded surfaces. As this is possible for even the smallest loads and highest magnifications, the result is a highly versatile machine suitable for most hardness applications. Furthermore the LED illumination system ensures a constant and uniform illumination intensity.

Low load hardness tester based on load cell technology, with extended test load range of 0.098 - 612.9 N (10 gf – 62.5 kgf). With high-resolution camera, LED illumination, auto focus and automatic image evaluation. Vertical moveable test head (motorised) and manual 3-position measurement turret. Integrated PC with 10” colour touch screen and ecos Workflow compact software. Ø90 mm dia. fixed test anvil. Test height 0-260 mm.

Low load hardness tester based on load cell technology, with extended test load range of 0.098 - 612.9 N (10 gf – 62.5 kgf). With high-resolution camera, LED illumination, auto focus and automatic image evaluation. Vertical movable test head (motorised) and manual 3-position measurement turret. Integrated PC with 10” colour touch screen and ecos Workflow compact software, incl. software module for CHD determination. Manual XY-stage, size 135 x 135 mm, stroke 25 x 25 mm, including manual micrometers. Test height 0-260 mm.

For DuraScan-10 G5 /-20 G5 automatic 6-position measurement turret and digital micrometers are optional. Objective lenses and indenters are ordered separately.

Fully automatic testing, with automatic 6-position measurement turret, high-resolution camera, LED illumination, auto focus and automatic image evaluation. Software for fully automatic measuring and case depth evaluation. Multiple specimen software is optional (EMS04). Motorised test head (yz-axis). Motorised stage, size 200 x 120 mm. Effective xy-stroke 150 × 150 mm. Test height 0-260 mm.

DuraScan-70 G5

Low load hardness tester based on load cell technology, with extended test load range of 0.098 - 612.9 N (10 gf – 62.5 kgf). Fully automatic testing, with automatic 6+1-position measurement turret, high-resolution camera, LED illumination, auto focus and automatic image evaluation. Overview camera with FOV 60×52 mm. Software for fully automatic measuring and case depth evaluation. Multiple specimen software is optional (EMS04). Motorised test head (yz-axis). Motorised stage, size 200 x 150 mm. Effective xy-stroke 150 × 150 mm. Test height 0-260 mm.

DuraScan-80 G5

Fully automatic testing, with automatic 6+1-position measurement turret, high-resolution camera, LED illumination, auto focus and automatic image evaluation. Overview camera with FOV 60×52 mm. Software for fully automatic measuring and case depth evaluation. Multiple specimen software is optional (EMS04). Motorised test head (yz-axis). Motorised stage, size 300 x 150 mm. Effective xy-stroke 300 × 150 mm. Test height 0-260 mm.

For DuraScan-50 G5/ -70 G5/ -80 G5 objective lenses and indenters are ordered separately. PC and monitor are necessary but not included.or
