DuraVision-250/ -350/-450 are designed for fully automatic hardness testing of test series within the entire macro test load range 9.8 N to 29400 N (1-3000 kgf). Based on intuitive ecos Workflow™ software, the machine is ideal for case hardness depth measurement of large samples, automatic hardness testing of large welds, automatic Jominy testing or multiple hardness tests on large samples. The DuraVision is suitable both for test labs and production facilities.

Simplicity and ease of use

Templates with pre-defined patterns simplify and automate the setup process, while workflow-based software guides the operator through standardised test procedures. Operators without extensive training are able to perform sophisticated hardness testing with ease.

Accuracy and repeatability

Fully automatic measuring of indentations significantly improves the repeatability of the results and eliminates variations among operators. Load cell technology ensures the highest possible degree of accuracy and repeatability during load application. The state-of-the-art, high-quality optical system, ensures accurate and repeatable image and hardness evaluation with fully automatic focusing, illumination adjustment and image evaluation.

Unprecedented adaptability

The integrated, two-step optical zoom function reduces the number of objective lenses required, increasing the adaptability of the machine to an unprecedented level. The low magnification overview camera option means the DuraVision-250/-350/-450 can facilitate up to seven positions in the turret, hereby offering a previously unseen testing flexibility.

    Accurate and repeatable loading system

    Unlike traditional hardness testers the DuraVision is based on a load cell system. The load cell technology means test loads are applied via a closed loop control unit with a load cell, DC motor and electronic measurement and control unit. The technique ensures the highest possible degree of accuracy and repeatability during load application, as the common over- and undershoot from dead weight systems is eliminated.

    High-quality optical system

    DuraVision is equipped with state-of-the-art high quality optical system, ensuring accurate and repeatable image and hardness evaluation. The optical system features an LED system for uniform illumination intensity. Automatic illumination adjustment for easy setup and execution of hardness tests, integrated optical zoom for increased flexibility of the objective lenses, and a ring light system with dark field illumination for Brinell testing of soft metals.

    Fast and easy exchange of test methods

    DuraVision-250/-350/-450 is available with a swivelling body or alternatively a six-position automatic turret facilitating exchange of up to six indenters and/or (max.) five objective lenses. Regardless of model, the exchange of indenter and lens runs fully automatically. With an automatic turret the tedious task of continuously exchanging indenters and/or objectives lenses is eliminated, thus avoiding subsequent calibration and/or potential human sources of errors.

    Ideal for heavy samples

    Contrary to the traditional z-axis spindle concept, the DuraVision-250/-350/-450 is based on a V-concept with a motorised test head and a fixed stage (z-direction). This concept is ideal for large/tall and heavy samples and ensures stable testing conditions and no spindle effects – an otherwise common source of error in hardness testing. Constant working height also ensures ergonomic working conditions as the samples are always placed at the same height above the floor.

  • DuraVision Multiple specimens software

    Multiple specimens software

    The overview camera allows for fast setup of multiple test points or series on your specimen. With the multiple specimen software added on, you can set up test runs on multiple samples and further increase the level of automation. This will save you setup time, and once you start testing, fully automated testing cycles mean the DuraVision can run unattended for hours, or even overnight.

Fully automatic universal hardness tester with load-cell technology for hardness testing of Brinell, Vickers, Rockwell and Knoop. With extended load range 9.8 N to 2450 N (1-250 kgf).

DuraVision-450
Fully automatic universal hardness tester with load-cell technology for hardness testing of Brinell, Vickers and Rockwell. With extended load range 29.4 N to 7350 N (3-750 kgf).

DuraVision-350
Fully automatic universal hardness tester with load-cell technology for hardness testing of Brinell, Vickers and Rockwell. With extended load range 98 N to 29400 N (10-3000 kgf).

DuraVision-250/-350/-450 have automatic exchange of objective lens and indenter. LED illumination, automatic illumination adjustment, automatic lens selection, integrated 2-step optical zoom, auto focus and automatic image evaluation. Motorized XY stage, size 400 x 200 mm, stroke 400 x 290 mm. Motorized Z axis (0-310 mm). Software for fully automatic measuring and case depth evaluation. Multiple specimen software and Jominy software module are optional. Support cabinet and CE-housing are ordered separately.

Overview camera with FOV 125×100 mm (EMF18), 6-position automatic turret, ring light system and 7-step motorized zoom are optional. Objective lenses and indenters are ordered separately.
PC and monitor are necessary but not included.
