Specimen holders
Specimen holders
The specimen holders allow you to grind and polish different shapes and sizes. When the specimens are clamped in the specimen holder you can prepare and clean up to 12 specimens at once saving you process time. The holes are optimized to reach the edges of the preparation surface giving you the best utilization of your preparation surface.
Specimen mover plates
With a specimen mover plate, you can easily grind and polish an odd number of specimens without the need for clamping. This gives you great flexibility when working with a few specimens at a time.
UniForce for fast and accurate leveling
A leveling device that enables you to clamp your specimens quickly, correctly, and securely in your specimen holder providing fast and accurate leveling.

With the Flexible specimen holder, you can grind and polish a wide range of specimens without holding them by hand – a far more ergonomically correct solution that significantly reduces strain on your wrist, elbow and shoulder.
Higher reproducibility and efficiency
In manual grinding and polishing, even experienced technicians find it difficult to achieve consistent results repeatedly. With the Flexible specimen holder, the specimen is held in place by the specimen mover. This means force is applied evenly across the specimen for the entire process, improving the reproducibility of your results. It also enables you to replace SiC Paper with MD surfaces – a more efficient solution that can reduce process time by up to 40 %*.

* Based on a manual process using SiC Paper versus a semi-automatic process with MD surfaces on a weld joint (75 mm x 25 mm). A manual process using SiC Paper takes approx. 18 minutes; a semi-automatic solution using MD surfaces takes approx. 11 minutes.
Preparation discs
MD Disc
Magnetic fixation discs enable you to change the preparation surface fast and easy. It furthermore ensures less resilience when preparing your specimens. Only for use with our MD surfaces.
Aluminium disc
For use when preparing your specimens with OP and DP surfaces and other self-adhesive grinding and polishing consumables.
Wet Grinding Disc
The wet grinding disc is for fixation of SiC paper.
*All discs are available with cone or pins depending on your machine.
Special applications
AccuStop
Specimen holder for controlled manual grinding of individual metallographic specimens on SiC grinding paper.
AccuStop is available in two sizes: AccuStop 40 with a capacity up to 40 mm dia. and AccuStop 30 which can be used for specimens up to 30 mm dia.
In the standard form, AccuStop can be used for both cylindrical mounts and for quick fixation by a rubber ring of specimens mounted with a flange by means of Flangeform.
AccuStop-T
AccuStop-T is designed specifically for target preparation in the microelectronic industry.
The unique tilt feature of AccuStop-T allows several points in a specimen target plane to be reached at the same time, e.g. rows of solder balls and PCB vias.
The AccuStop-T specimen holder has the ability to tilt the sample +/- 2.0 degrees in any direction.
AccuMeter
The AccuMeter Measuring Station was developed especially for use with AccuStop-T.
- Provides easy measurement of the tilt angle and has a micrometer measuring range is 0-25 mm in steps of 10 µm.
- Useful along with AccuStop 30.
TargetSystem - Mold Insert
Mold insert for use with 40 mm mount cups, 50 pcs.

Adapter for parallel polishing (re-usable).

TargetSystem - TargetGrip
TargetGrip is a tiltable specimen holder. It accommodates mounted samples up to 40 mm in diameter. Adapters are provided for larger specimens, cross-sectioning, and parallel polishing, as well as a 40 mm to 25 mm adapter, which also serves as SEM mount.
